Este artículo es un intento de análisis comparativo y transnacional, como una forma de trascender el enfoque «germanocéntrico» o, simplemente, el enfoque selectivamente comparativo que ha caracterizado el debate del «camino especial» (Sonderweg) de Alemania, desde el militarismo autoritario del imperio guillermino al Estado genocida del Tercer Reich. Esto supone ubicar el genocidio nazi de los judíos dentro de un contexto sincrónico y diacrónico más amplio.
This paper is an attempt at a comparative, transnational analysis, as a way of transcending the «germanocentric» or only selectively comparative approach that has characterized the discussion of Germany’s «special path» (Sonderweg) from authoritarian militarism in the Wilhelmine empire to the genocidal state of the Third Reich. It entails locating the Nazi genocide of the Jews within a broader synchronic and diachronic context.
