La Seguridad del Estado de Alemania Oriental apoyó de diversas formas el terrorismo de izquierda de la Alemania Federal durante las décadas de 1970 y 1980. Aunque los terroristas no recibieron armas o apoyo material, no se les persiguió en el territorio de la RDA y la Stasi ayudó a antiguos terroristas a asentarse en Alemania del Este y dejar la lucha armada. Tras la caída del Muro de Berlín, la policía alemana federal pudo capturarlos.
The Eastern German State Security supported the left-wing terrorism in West Germany during the 1970s and 1980s in different ways. Although terrorists didn’t get weapons or material support, they weren’t prosecuted in the GDR territory and the Stasi helped former terrorists to settle down in East Germany and give up their armed fight. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the West German police was able to capture them.
