Resumen
El estudio que se realiza parte de la consideración del elevado grado de alfabetización de la sociedad rural alemana durante el Imperio, para explorar las prácticas de lectura y sus barreras. Se trata así de analizar cómo operó esa capacidad de leer y escribir en un contexto determinado para forjar, modificar o consolidar la cultura política nacional liberal, la de los católicos del Zentrum o la de los miembros del SPD.
Abstract
The aim of this research is to study the social practices of reading in the rural German society of the Empire with the example of Baden and to explain how this activity contributed to modify, consolidate and generate a political culture around the Liberalism, the Catholicism of Zentrum and the SPD.
